{"id":1653,"date":"2016-03-22T15:27:07","date_gmt":"2016-03-22T14:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mgm-compro.com\/?p=1653"},"modified":"2024-05-17T14:30:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T12:30:00","slug":"escs-for-the-nasas-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mgm-compro.com\/escs-for-the-nasas-project\/","title":{"rendered":"ESCs for the NASA\u00b4s project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span >NASA&#8217;s<\/span><\/a><\/strong> main goal of this project is development of a brand new fully electric airplane, which may totally change the direction of electric aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Look at for specification about this NASA&#8217;s airplane, which is called LEAPTech:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Conception of this airplane comes from <strong>Tecnam P2006T<\/strong><\/li><li>Performance of this <strong>propulsion system<\/strong>\u00a0can reach up to 240 kW,<\/li><li>18 integrated <strong>electric motors<\/strong>\u00a0in special wing<\/li><li><strong>Electric motors<\/strong>\u00a0are controlled by <a href=\"\/brushless-motor-controllers\/\"><strong><span >industrial brushless ESC from HBC series by MGM COMPRO<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/li><li>The wing is made of carbon composite<\/li><li>Batteries LiFePo4 (Lithium-Ferrum-Phosphate)<\/li><li>The airplane is for 4 passengers<\/li><li>Testing completed in early 2016<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Milestone in electric aviation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan for this year is mainly testing of an experimental wing, developing and using a new simulator to look at controls and handling characteristics of the aircraft. After this step should be everything ready to proceed to testing flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are convinced that there is a huge future potential for NASA&#8217;s project. The gathered knowledge might be a milestone for the development of electric aviation. From our point of view is dependence on fossil fuels slowly coming to an end.
